Retail Arma 2:CO Day Z Server Error

Ok, so after following the instruction for installation of day Z on the wiki/forums (basically the same), whenever i try and enter a server i get kicked or it fails due to 'modified data file' it is either this error, or another which states i must change the keys to be able to play? i have tried reinstalling the game 3 times but to no avail. following the instructions to the letter. any suggestions? :huh:
