Why is it that people get so defensive when a player says they aren't good at PvP or wish to be left out of the TDM that goes on in a lot of servers. Why do people think that their idea of "fun" works for everyone? Yes this is a PvP oriented game but I think the OP is asking for is a spot where they can explore without being shot on sight by some douche bag while he is armed with a bandaid and a flashlight. I really hope you find a decent hive so you can get a better Dayz experience.

it happens in every server...

My PC is bad , and the game gets frame freezes in towns , and most of the time does not go more than 20fps , like that is not enough but cause of my game's poor performance and lack of skill in PVP i get owned by some 14 years old kids who play on their daddies computers with the super graphics and smooth performance...this reminds me of the saying ''no country for old men''

Just get DaiZy, it lets you play singleplayer with AI bandits/survivors (optional) and stuff like that.

It also has night time version and day time version.

Dayz is free, you did not pay for it. There were some suggestions for servers for you, just try them. Could it be that you like complaining?

The only reason why i bought Arma 2 is cause of DayZ.I am not a big fan of army games except when they have a interesting story in them like Modern Warfare 1 and 2...and maybe 3 (haven't played it) .I was mostly interested in the story of COD , not multiplayer or action.

However , don't turn this into a flame war...x_x

And yes i did try these suggestion...in 1 server i could not connect , in the other...as always shoot on sight even though i am only with a flash light.

Haven't tried the servers in the latest responces...but then again i am not sure if i will keep playing...my game runs poor no matter the tweeks and configuration i do.Maybe its for the best since all i get is frustration and disappointment in people's judgement and thinking (ask questions first shoot later)

I can somewhat understand the avoidance of PvP and KoS mentality, but the kicker for me is complaining about zombies. The zeds alone are piss easy to deal with. Sure each patch introduced new quirks we had to learn and deal with, but after that when you're on an empty server, just run around Cherno/Elektro without a care in the world. Without zombies, PvP avoidance is pretty easy as well, so long as you don't go running out in the streets, waving your arms screaming friendly.

The point of DayZ was to create an environment in which no where is safe and you have to make difficult choices to survive. This is done with the natural threat of PvP and the endless drove of zombies that don't just shuffle around when they see you. Without these, you're basically just scavenging some supplies and wandering around, would get boring fairly easily. Yes the game is a sandbox and you can play as you like, but you can't force another playstyle on someone else. If someone wants to go around shooting everything that moves they have just as much a right to as you do to kill zeds and scavenge. If they get in your way, shoot them or leave the area, don't come whining on a forum. I play as a hero, helping out any that I see and never killing anyone who doesn't make a go at me first, and I rarely die to normal bandits, just confirmed hackers and glitches.

If the harsh survival world of DayZ isn't what you were expecting out of the game then I'm not sure what you were expecting. If it was just your performance that's the problem, that's a different story. There are many here that can help you improve your performance, you just have to ask. But based on what you're looking for, it seems like DayZ just isn't the game for you, and I highly doubt there's a server out there meeting your standards, or if there is one you'd be bored of it in a day. I'm not sure what you thought DayZ was going to be when you downloaded it (didn't buy DayZ btw, it's free) but that expectation certainly isn't the reality.

believe me i tried every trick and tweek to get the game run good...just doesn't work...at moments the frame rate drops so low that it is unplayable , the game would literly freeze for 3 seconds.Other times i get mouse lag and even slow process for commands like i press fire and he fires like a second later.

even lowering on the lowest settings...the frame drops stop but the mouse and commands lag insists.Its just unplayable for me.
