Change my character clothes/outfit/suit/skin

Hi there,

For some weird reason it seems to be really hard too find where and how to have a custom skin in dayz.

And I don't mean a crappy custom "The Joker" skin or anything like that.

I mean that my character has a skin from (for example) a US soldier.

I have my own server so if server files need to be edited: I can.

As long as I know how :)

You would need to make/find a script that changed your skin to the desired one, then edit your mission file and create a trigger that has an "ExecVM" executable. IE, scroll-wheel while in a designated zone allows you to change your skin, or a certain player could use Radio Mike Alpha to do it.

In other words, it's a pain in the ass. Especially because non-A2OA skins can't wear backpacks, and non-DayZ skins can't combat roll. There are a couple of other glitchy things that aren't immediately apparent.
