Hero Skin Issue

Sup Fellas.

I have been playing Dayz for quiet some time now, and have finally spent the countless hours on my server of preference doing good deeds to get the hero Skin. Last night i got to 5500 humanity with a friend at the same time. However he got the hero skin, and i did not. I assume it's because i am wearing camo clothing, however i stupidly left my Civilian Clothing behind and the server restarted. Will i get my hero skin when i change back into Civilian clothing?, or do i have to wait for a respawn/death?.

Imagine if getting bandit/hero while wearing a ghille/camo happened... so many would be devastated.

I suppose i will just have to try and find someones dropped civilian clothing, or get myself killed. I read something on the Dayz wiki and want to confirm its true, here is the quote about it in the section for hero skin / humanity.

The Hero Skin, is a skin acquired after the "Player" reaches 5000 Humanity.

The Hero Skin will allow the player to initially run slightly faster than Survivors and Bandits prior to panting. Once winded they will run at similar speeds meaning that heroes make good short range sprinters. It also features a bulletproof vest that protects the play from low level bullets, such as Makarov rounds, and will let you only take one half zombie damage.

Yeah, i think the Snipers and Camo guys in the bushes would be kinda pissed if they suddenly appeared in bright blue flannel shirt and denim jeans, lol!.
