Played for the first time in months.

Sooo...

I got around to playing dayz for the first time in over 5 months the other day. Is the game in a completely broken state right now or is it just me? It seems like 95% of the servers can not handle the game and are just unplayable on.

I was in cherno, found a player. He shot me, I got the unconscious hour glass and had -blood, we were both just standing still shooting each other for about 10 seconds then we both died.

Is this because of all the patches released which broke the game to this level. I know before I stopped playing I had no issues like this, the game ran relatively smoothly. btw it was a tlm server.

I haven't played DayZ in awhile, but the mod has pretty much always been broken. I don't know if its any worse now though.

I think it is worse, they have added lots of stuff without fixing what needed it first, so now it is REALLY broken

i have barely touched the game in months as a result

now i just play PvP maps and that is not often

It's probably worth you trying a few servers until you give up completely. Because this is a mod almost every update will always introduce new bugs, it'll always be that way TBH, that's why so many are getting impatient for the SA.

I personally haven't had those issues so as I say, try some more servers first, a lot of people stay away from public servers now and it's been that way for a while. It's just my opinion but go and find yourself a good private server, it can take a little while to find one you like but it's well worth it.
