So you've died, what's your course of action on a new character?

Recommended Posts

I usually make my way to the nearest barn because those are great places to get a gun. After that I try to raid a city for a bigger backpack and whatever useful stuff I can find. Then I try to find a group to either join them or pick them off one by one.

I guess I'm looking for some tips, with the amount of running that takes place in this mod I'd hate to find out I'm wasting any time.

If I die, and I come back to life. First thing I do is scour the shores for bodies, grab their spare ammo, food, and water canteen, then make my way either to Cherno for gear and supplies, or head North. Once I've acquired the minimum of a knife, and matches, I'm good to survive in the wilderness. I choose a new spot somewhere. Make that my camp, patrol it. Kill anyone within it. Search the surrounding villages for gear, and animal meat. Then, if I'm still alive in two or three days, move to a new spot.

I usually go to the nearest city and ATACKAROV the first person I see for their beans. Then I Rejoin Legion and continue with my duties

Depends on the situation. When I die with really good gear and I'm alone, I may have to stop playing for a few hours or I just say f it this was awesome let's do this again. Really depends on the mood I'm in.

Most of the time though I play with friends and when one of us dies the others secure the gear of the dead player and we meet up again asap. If we all die we usually meet in one of the villages up north after looting the coastal towns and villages.

Run straight to Elektro (know every corner of that town).

Visit item spawns until I have at least:

Map

Compass

Knife

Matches

Shotgun/ammo

Then I leave. Usually takes me around 20 minutes until Im washed up on the beach, to being back North.

Balota: obtain sniper rifle -> Chern: obtain medical supplies, obtain compass -> Stary: sit outside the military camp for at least 20 minutes, kill anyone who shows up, then go loot the tents -> NW airfield: hide in really obvious spots and ruin peoples days by killing them. Bonus points for throwing grenades at the barracks when a clan is there -> die

Keep respawning until I'm at Kamenka,

Run north for ~20min to NW airfield,

Creep around and get practically all of my gear back,

good to go

Run straight up to NW airfield and hide in the back room of the barracks, and then cycle servers until I'm returned to Robocop status.

Just kidding.

Wander into Chern or Elektro, ask if anyone is friendly and then get shot in the face after finding an Enfield with half a mag.

Look for a gun, generally only bother scouring small towns/villages if its light with zombies, if it's got so many that I'd have to crawl then I don't bother. If I see a barn, I'll clear it and check for a CZ550 or Winchester. I do this while heading towards my friends. I try not to play alone as I just can't handle it, and at night I get far too twitchy and freaked out, especially when I've got a bunch of really nice stuff and I've lasted for a couple of days really not wanting to die. Once I meet up with friends we decide what we want to do and what we need, first priority is always guns and ammo, then it's blood bags and epi. Then we decide what we want to do next, take a trip north? Head into Cherno and find some targets?
