Momentary freeze - Normal?

New player to the game - so far everyone on the form and in the game has been very kind and helpful...Thanks!!

I am having one issue, though - from time to time when I am moving around, my movements don't register or are severely delayed... ie, when I walk around I'm fine one min, and the next I can only look around with my mouse but I can't walk, crouch, stand, etc...

Any clues? Is this normal? ...I just know it's going to get me killed, lol!

Do zombies spawn just after this happens? I sometimes freeze while all the zombies pop up. I've gone from walking with a full kit to laying on the floor, broken legs after a freeze, surrounded by zombies. ;(

No, at least, I don't think so... sometimes even when there are already zombies and I'm being chased by a few, this will happen. Though, being a noob, I don't fully recognize when zombies are spawning in, lol, so that may be exactly what's happening, idk

What's your ping on the servers you play on, and what is your average FPS when playing? Could just be a bad connection or a lacking computer, Arma II is pretty taxing on your machine.

The ping may have been the problem - I've switched servers and haven't had that issue since :) My FPS runs between 35 and 60, depending on where I am on the map...

Thanks for the input guys - I think the frustration with that is over...now I'm just frustrated with people that kill me as a BRAND NEW SPAWN (w/no weapon), lol

Gotta find a server with less people on it. :) Luckily for me, even on busy servers, I've never been killed right at spawn. If I did, I'd probably leave that server and not come back.
