Hello survivors

Recommended Posts

My friend told me about this game and I started looking it up on youtube. After getting a new laptop I am finally downloading Arma 2 and Operation arrowhead. Its taking a long time so I thought I'd join the forums. Although I'm a bambie, I have watched hours of Dayz gameplay and survival guides so I think I stand a chance in Chernarus. I hope to meet some friendlies on my first run through later today. :)

Hey fella, glad to see you've finally got round to playing the mod. I'm sure you'll really enjoy the game. If you're ever looking for a group to run with check us out on our custom private hive, details in my signature.

Thanks very much dude, can you please explain this beans business on the forums?

"Beans" are given when you like someones post. For example, if you like my post you can give me your precious beans.

Anyways, welcome to DayZ, always great with new players. There are loads of cool people here, so just feel like home. I advice you to check out the "Private Hive" Section to find a suitable server for you to live on.

(My recommendation is Balota Buddies, very great server moderated by proper moderators. Although it got some requirements it's definitely worth it.)

Welcome to Dayz my friend, just remember not everyone is friendly. Just don't get too attached to your guns/backpack or other items because this game can be brutal. Hope you can find a good hive to play on because not all are created equal. Always keep your head down and stick to the woods as much as you can. Hope to see you on the road someday

Oh one more thing don't underestimate the hatchet, very good for being stealthy and getting into the hospital if no one has been there before you. Just remember when you equip it, you have to hit the r key to reload it. Don't be afraid to try different hives/maps, each offers a different experience. Pine trees can be your friends because the zeds lose line of sight if you run through them. Its kinda cheap but it will help you lose agro
