in need of help

Hi all,

Brand new to the game, i've watched plenty of gameplay on youtube so I pretty much understand what i need to do in game. The problem i have is actually playing the game. I've had very limited success in connecting to servers. At the most all I can ever find is maybe one or two that will allow me to play. Most of the time I get the message "bad version. server rejected connection" sometimes i cant find any servers that will let me on at all. When I select multiplayer i get dozens of servers that show up but within a minute or so they all disappear or have red crosses beside them... really don't know what the problem is but i'm adamant to get it working! This game looks fantastic. Please please help!

what program do you use?

i would download Dayz commander as a start.with the Dayz commander update/install option you can check if you have a wrong version of the mod or the game.

from what you posted here, the servers are rejecting you cause you have a wrong version.

search up Dayz commander, install it, go to the top right corner (Install/update) and install the maps you want to play, and the correct Arma II and Dayz patch.

- Hide wrong version of the game

- Hide wrong version of the mod
