Installing arrowhead with arma 2 free

Ok so since in my country the expansion is only available in retail i bought it but i am questioning if it is possible to run it with arma 2 free, before i do something wrong

Yeah... I don't have a credit card or what so ever for that so retail it is and it only had cost 10€.

Also Steam has the double of the price to buy it thats why i have chosen retail
