[Epoch] Auto Gamma in Forests (WTF ?)

I don't know if this is server specific ? I am playing on "Fix's Testing Server" at night and whenever I go into a forest the screen turns completely black - COMPLETELY black - even with Gamma maxed out, even with a flare lit, you can see NOTHING !

And to make matters worse you stumble and fall over every few metres (!)

Is there any way to turn this abomination of a 'feature' off ?

Have to say, Epoch looks great on paper, but after playing it I have to say it is a horrible, broken, bugged mess.
