Saving a tent with items inside

Hey guys,

i'm playing DayZ almost since it was released, but i never asked myself, do i need to save a tent, after i place new items inside it, so they don't get deleted after a server restart?

I couldn't find an answer yet, and it really is bugging me to not know that for sure, because sometimes i lost some gear inside tents, i did not know if i saved after it, but i'm sure no other player stole those items.

Well, what would be the disadvantage of not saving?

Even if you save they can still be lost, and sometimes you might need 2-3 reboots of a server, if your not the admin the chances of that happening is slim.

I never save, never lost a tent. But i always take the best items and put them on my character before i log out to ensure if i do loose anything it aint my good stuffs.

It's not like i'm to lazy to save the tents, but i never thought of maybe losing items when not saving the tents regularly, that's why i'm asking for maybe a legit source that can prove that i need to save the tent after placing items in it to not lose it after a server restart, independent from some bugs sometimes eating items from the tent, no matter if saved or not.

Huh? I just told you how it is.

whether you save or not, there is still a chance to loose it. Saving wont guarantee you save your items. Not saving wont guarantee loss. If you want to save, then save, whether you do or not doesn't really matter end of day because BOTH are susceptible to loss, and BOTH can be fine.
