Some tips:

A3 online is going to be a lot slower than A3 offline because 99% of the servers are hosted on the same PCs the hosts play on; there aren't many dedicated servers up yet.

A2 online is going to be a lot slower than A2 offline based on your internete speed. Is your PC a laptop or desktop? If it's a laptop, plug it in directly to your router (via Ethernet cable); there's a 100MB transfer rate cap on most wireless cards, which sucks.

Instead of just telling us the brand name/model of your various parts, can you say how many MBs of memory your graphics card has and the GHz of your processor? 2.1? 2.5? 4.7? Didn't read the end of the post. Sorry.

10-30 FPS is smooth enough to play at; I run it around 20 FPS and can't really complain. I have a rather poor internet speed and a Toshiba Satellite. Your CPU is not the problem; mine is only 2.1GHz, and I have no problems.

If you're going to blow spend your tax return on a PC, may I suggest http://www.amazon.co...keywords=gaming for 1.2K or http://www.amazon.co...E6G2_B00B7JE6FS for $800? They're both solid laptops for gaming. If you're looking for a gamic desktop, however, try http://www.dell.com/...re-x51/pd.aspx. I personally don't like Alienware that much, but the x51 comes with an Nvidia 660 (med-high end graphics card) and a i7 CPU.

Be careful on Alienware's website. The *advertised* model has an i7, however the price in the advertisement is for a shitty i5 version. I hate Alienware...
