PKM mag found at heli crash site

Yesterday i found a "PKM mag" with 100 rounds in it, but i did not know for what gun. So i looked online, but found next to nothing. There seems to be a PKM/PKR, (russian machine gun) in ARMA2, and on some other map (lingor? namalsk?) but not in chernarus.

The changelog of the last patches does not show anything related too.

Are there PKM/PKR Guns in the game now? Or is this item not legit?

It was at a crash site, and the crash sites seemed to be unlooted, so i was pretty sure that it was legitly spawned and took it with me.

Anyone an idea?

this baffled me too, then it hit me, it refills the ammo on the Russian MI-17 Helicopter, as its gunners are PKM/PKR's.

it isn't actually used for a weapon you can carry around with you, just the mounted guns on that heli.

EDIT: also if you didnt know, to refill the mags on the heli's gun, just put the mag in your inventory, sit in the heli and you should get a scroll wheel option like "add 100rnd pkm/add 100rnd M240".

Well the PKM/PKR might as well be added, don't you guys think?

Or even better, you should have to find a LMG to mount onto the side of a Huey, instead of finding a helicopter with guns already attached.

Yeah I was wondering about that. The Private Hive I play on has custom gun spawns so I didn't know if the PKM was added to the server or if it was for the russian chopper.
