In-game time + day/night cycle

I know the time in game depends on the server and also the day/night cycle depends on the time, but when does it get light in game? cause its kinda light for me irl at 6:30AM but i just went onto a GMT+2 server and its pitch black? if anyone could awnser it would be great:D

Uhhh, around 6:00 AM, it should be getting brighter.

It's possible that timesync on the server is royally fucked. ArmA doesn't handle that very well.

I've tried almost every server that has on their server list that it should be daytime and they are all GMT-7 right now when I check my watch in-game.

alright thanks dude, just tried 2 GMT+2 servers and its still pitch black:/ dont really wanna throw flares about without a gun:/

This, 6AM/PM seems to be when things change, but usually there's a lot of desync with the time. Try using an in-game watch to see what time it actually is ingame.

Yea 06 should be dawn and by 07 full light... think dark is sometime between 19-2000 as well.

But ive seen it all over the place seen dusk not happen till 2100 and as early as 1800.. *shrug* as stated synch issues.

Can anyone confirm whether Latros is right that it is basically pitch dark by 20:00?

I can confirm it happen, as it's happend on our server 2 days ago..

Now when i restart the server the times are the same both in game and server.

But some hour later the ingame time ends up hours behind the server time.

Example was today. i when offline the ingame time was 4:20pm.

i got back online nealy 2 hours later and it was 4pm for me in game,

other players said it was 6pm others 5pm...

Something not right but makes it intresting.

Still running 1.7.0 but upgrading tomorrow morning.

Dawn/dusk also depend upon what month it is in-game, just like IRL. Since some servers are not time-synced, it should be safe to assume that there servers that are not date-synced either.
