Hi, i recently started playing DayZ, good game just wondering if there is a way to check my stats?

You can press the insert key to bring up your Debug-monitor, this will show you zombie-kills, survived days and more.

and where do i do this in the main menu or during a game?

You do it while ingame, currently there is no way to check them outside of a server.
