How do I play this game properly?

Without having my vehicles disappearing in thin air, having a guy run 100kmh into down pushing a broken car with no wheels and run me over, and having my body suddenly become controlled by other players?

I'm hopping servers all over the place, but there is no respite. What's the point of playing this game when success makes you a target for cheating? I mean, I heard this game had issues, but I never thought it would be this rampant and actually affect a lone wolf like me.

Is there something I can do?

DayZ is a Alpha mod it has a lot of problems lol. As for the cheater controlling you, well again it's DayZ probably the most hacked game I have ever played.

DayZ = Home of the hackers. We just have to play around them.

You will typically have better luck on private servers..... usually fewer hackers (in general) on private (private servers have more control).

A whitelist server is the way to go. It's way more effort for a hacker, immediately deterring 75% of them, and the fact that the server owners have much more freedom to nullify the efforts of a script probably deter another 24%. You'll rarely be bothered by the remaining 1% for the previously stated reasons.

ive only seen one hacker he was pretty friendly he made us dance to gangnam style then killed everyone in my group except me he gave me guns so i left the server. the moral of this story go on a server with anti hack software or what ever it is and you wont get hacked

I lold at that part. Anti hack software lmao. No such thing. All these server I go on with their Gotcha antihack and many others are just a load of crap. The hackers still get in, and they still ruin the game. But it's just a game so who cares. :)

wierd thing is the first/only time i ever saw a hacker in action was like i saw a nuclear bomb exploided and half of the server population just died.. :P but it was my first day in dayz, and ive never seen another a single hacker since then lol...

Lucky you I wish I didn't see as many hackers as I do. I've been playing for nearly a year and couldn't tell you how many hackers I have seen over the time. It's just crazy.
