Repairing vehicles doesnt always work?

Hi all,

I'm a few weeks into Dayz now and starting to learn the mechanics of the game. However one problem I keep having is when it comes to fixing vehicles, its like rolling a dice whether it will actually fix. Sometimes the parts vanish out of my inventory and nothing is repaired, other times it works no problem.

Is this working as intended? Is this me effectively failing to repair sometimes?

like , if the aptions are yellow , the vehicle it will be repaird but the option for repair it will remain

That is normal, just fix the things with red , the other leave because the vehicle it will works good

Focus on the colors of the items when you scroll wheel over he vehicle.

Red first --> Orange next --> Yellow last.

Anything Red (except for Glass) will prevent he vehicle from operating. Glass on a Helicopter is very important ... so rather be safe and repair all glass on them.

Apologies I dont think I explained myself well enough. Last night for example we had a truck which had an "orange" engine. Between my and 2 others we repaired it 3 times with 3 different engine parts and it still remained orange?

Theres currently a bug that causes problems when trying to refuel or repair vehicles,

To get around it make sure only one person is trying to do the repairs and have that person get in and out of the drivers seat between each attempt.

I can confirm this workaround works (So far 100% success rate now after repairing / refuiling aprox 6 things). Many thanks

This is not true for cars and trucks. As long as the respective vehicle has working wheels and fuel, the car is operational.

Bug. Hop in and try driving, then hop out and repair, it should work. Check out our server you can remove parts as well.
