Flashlight question?

I apologize if this has been asked before. Currently on a night server, and I tried to turn on the flashlight. The Wiki said it was L to toggle on and off, but nothing is happening. Currently running around in the dark constantly pressing L.... XD Please and thank you for any help.

Check your key bindings (or controls, if you're not fancy enough) to see if the bind is set to something else.

...you have drawn out the flashlight first, right? (do this by pressing F until you're holding a flashlight instead of a gun)

Might be the same bug i got.. that you have one in your hand and on but the light is only at your feets.

I have the flashlight out and I already checked, the key bindings say "L" to use headlights. I've only got a flashlight so the gun out isn't the problem XD although I did try that too.

EDIT: Didn't realize it wasn't on because I was prone. Excuse my stupidity >.<

SECOND EDIT: Somehow I got it on once, turned it back off because I recently seen someone near me, now it won't turn back on..

I think the flashlight can be lowered as a weapon (maybe stays low when stand up from prone). Try left click to aim first, and then L.

It seems to be working strange for me, I did manage to get it back on again but then it wouldn't turn off >.> had to drop it and pick it back up.

Nope, still working seemingly randomly. I guess I'll just continue to move in the dark, it's safer that way.

My issue is the flashlight always points at my feet.... any ideas? I tried the "Raise Weapon" command multiple times, but it doesn't do anything.

EDIT: Nevermind. Seems to have fixed itself

You hold it in your hand. When you walk it stays pointed in front when you run you swing your arms so the beam goes all over. When crouching walk to hold it still. Crouch run and it points straight down. If after accessing gear or a loot pile you no longer see the light, use free look to see where it is shining. Often it will point up while you access loot and will reset to front when you move or zoom.
