Completely wiping out combat loggers

Recommended Posts

So as I understand it is impossible for loggers to quit out in the middle of a fight without dying instantly when they log back in, however they may still do it because of two reasons: satisfaction and retrieval.

You can just not log back in for awhile, therefore your attacker is gone, and then go loot your body (I have a separate thread on that already so I won't get much into it.), They get nothing, and you might just get everything.

So I don't know if it would be possible but, if someone combat logs in the middle of a fight, they would still be dead upon log-in like now, but when they log out their corpse would be left there, so the killer can get his rightfully earned gear, because as I said above, some may still do it for the thought of knowing that the attacker gets nothing, and by chance they could get everything back.

I think they mentioned that in the standalone your avatar is going to remain on the server for a little while after you log out, leaving it completely vulnerable.

ALT+F4 has not gotten me killed so far (used it a few times because ain't nobody got 30 seconds)?

I should have died?

ALT+F4ing will not kill your character. It's just an unfair way of instantly aborting from the server.

I thought that aborting while in combat or just ALT+F4ing in general made your character pass out at 1/4 blood with a broken leg next time you joined?

No it just autosaves your character like it would normally would do when aborting.

Well I have heard a number of people say it does what I said earlier and I tested it myself and it worked then too, so I guess i was glitched
