King Tubbs 224 Posted March 19, 2013 For me,a s a fan of the whole zombie fiction genre (movies, books, games etc) the main threat and attraction of zombies as the enemy is that they maybe slow, unintelligent and easy to out think and meanouver individually or in low numbers but their strength as a threat comes in their numbers and the the relentless pursuit (because of their lack of intellgence). They basically swarm anything that moves and continue to do so till either it's gone or they are dead. Their attrition is also anotehr strong factor to their menace - they are practically unlimited in their numbers and ultimately the advantage they have is that any survivor or group will eventually run out of bullets or supplies before their attack or threat reduces. That for me needs to be reflected in the game better. I think we need to go back to the early days of the mod where it was very difficult to lose a train of zombies and they would pursue you relentlessly, on mass!they already have they follow you from ages and they move towards you even if they have not seen youwait for the stand alonethey will be LOTS of zombies at least 3000 per map
boxman80 964 Posted March 19, 2013 they already have they follow you from ages and they move towards you even if they have not seen youwait for the stand alonethey will be LOTS of zombies at least 3000 per mapI know but last year, early after release there was an issue with one of the patches that meant thre were many more zombies than intended and you could never lose them - they just followed you forever unless you killed them. For me that was a little better and it will hopefulyl be something that's given more and more attention in the stand alone release.
Sutinen 635 Posted March 19, 2013 I would like different behaving zombies though. The current ones just roam around endlessly, what about some zombies that loiter in the same spot?
boxman80 964 Posted March 19, 2013 Different behaviour and differnt models are certainly something we're all interested in. Be nice to see some that lurk in dark areas, some that have missing limbs maybe etc.
Cone Drone 12 Posted March 19, 2013 I would like different "types" of infected if it went by age, as in some might be fresher and therefore quicker/stronger but only marginally.
