Welp game sucks now

Join servers closer to you physical location. Is that so fucking hard?? I don't understand the point of this thread.

Actually yes it is so fucking hard.

However, if he is getting over 300ms to US servers then something is wrong on his end. Most seem to only kick for over that mark. Unless the new crop of servers are setting it low using the 'high pings lag the server falacy' to justify it.

From what i understand high ping players jump all over everyone's screen making them virtually impossible to kill. That's borderline cheating.

Well, ping and desync are two different things. Desync is like packet loss and yes that will make the player warp all over the place.

Okay. So. Let me describe for you my experience in DayZ for the last twenty four hours.

Last night. No food. No water. My character dying of thirst and hunger for no reason. Can't find any food and water because something screwed up the loot tables. So instead of being able to play the game' date=' I have to wait.

So I wait.

Now, this morning, the last half an hour has been one long series of BS events after another.

Join a server, find food, find water. Get kicked off for high ping.

Join another server.

Kicked off for high ping.

And those are only the servers I could find that weren't A) filled completely to capacity or B) DON'T EFFING LOAD.

So I find one server just now. One that actually, you know, let's me on! It's pretty frigging dark.

I throw a chem light. Or at least I THINK I DID.

Next thing I know, I'm dead. Broken bones. Just DEAD. Instantly -23000 blood and DEAD. So I lost the DMR that took me DAYS to find. All my supplies. MY ghillie suit. Everything.

So fine. I'll go get them back.

It seems to me you should look at investing in a server. If everyone in Oz refused to do about lack of local servers nobody would play.

Start a thread, find some anzac buddies, chip in a get a server?

I live in the Uk and i play on : NY, RU, PL,GER and many other servers. must be your connection dude

Hmm, maybe a little context is needed here. I live in Australia, yet I play only on American servers. I find the Australian servers to not be as stable as the others. My average latency is 170ms to anything in the western part of the US. (mostly LA, Dallas and occasionally Seattle). Granted I live in Melbourne and depending on where you are and who your provider is...your connection can be bad.

My group, of all Australians, also play on the same server as I. The highest average latency is my buddy in Perth. His internet is supplied by lethargic hamsters on a wheel and he is netting around 230ms. I'd say check your setup, turn off unneeded services (torrents, pron, roommates, etc). Otherwise play the press enter game.
