Should i keep my private hive server up?

Im on the brink of letting my server go because of lack of players. I have worked very hard on it and have added Towing/Heli lifting/Dogs/Auto refuel/Stripping vehicle parts, a bunch of new skins, donator perks, and Custom vehicles but sadly only a couple play per day. Before the server had around 25-30 players on a day almost no hackers and then one day it just stopped, and i haven't had anyone play on it yet so i have been let down in the past week and i have been trying my hardest to keep my server up and get players to join, but i guess good things don't happen to good people..... What im asking is should i keep my server up and just let it run its course or take it off? I have no idea and am pretty bummed about this.

That's the Dayz way. You start a fun server and a few people decide to start their own. Then other's start their own and everyone gets to have fun playing with just a few people at a time. I've watched it happen to half a dozen servers in the last two months. Best case scenario is just that people have had real life come at them and they will be back. Have you made a website for people who played there to post on? Its the best way to find out what people are up to. Worst case scenario they have moved on permanently. I would try to find another server with a low population and try to team up with their admins to pool your resources, players etc.

Auto Refuel? It takes 5 seconds to do it manually. Play the game the right way.

Maybe you're trying too hard at the Get Players to Join part. It's good to get them to join, but you don't want to act like that's your only goal.

Well i donator perks are not in yet and nor have i announced them and auto refueling everyone that plays the server tells me to add it in, the me letting the server go because of lack of players is one thing butt he other is that it gets really lonely and boring sometimes when there are only 4 other people on the server and there all friendly... and carebeared them by that if you mean put them everywhere no only 1 per map. What map is it? Make it hardcore, its so hard to find one. I'd find a hardcore (with maybe a few extra things) Panthera or Lingor server would be awesome. With a full moon/cloudless night. All the servers I ever find have like 500000000000 vehicles with explosive armanents always day etc etc.

You must of done something to lose your player base, not fully sure. We have a full clan to backup ours, and some don't use the clan tags cause nobody wants to see a full server of *=SAS=* and we also split the clan into smaller groups and pvp against each other so it's not 12+ vs server.
