ifeastontears 0 Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) Hello all,I just bought myself the complete collection of Arma 2.Dayz looks much fun to me so I would love to try it out, so I installed it today and tried to play. However my fps is uber low! I set every setting at his lowest and I get like 5 fps? I can't believe this is happening on my laptop. These are the specs of my laptop. I am sure that I am running on my 630m and not on the integrated graphics. It can't be true that an old game like this is unable to run on these specs right? I tried some solutions but nothing works, I see people posting about their worser equipped pc's which can run this game at like 60 fps. I just don't get it.I hope someone can help me, otherwise I have thrown away 30 euro and I really want to enjoy dayz.http://valid.canardpc.com/2735982CPU Arch : 1 CPU - 2 Cores - 4 ThreadsCPU PSN : Intel Core i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50GHzCPU EXT : MMX, SSE (1, 2, 3, 3S, 4.1, 4.2), EM64T, VT-x, AES, AVXCPUID : 6.A.9 / Extended : 6.3ACPU Cache : L1 : 2 x 32 / 2 x 32 KB - L2 : 2 x 256 KBCPU Cache : L3 : 3072 KBCore : Ivy Bridge (22 nm) / Stepping : E1Freq : 2896.13 MHz (99.84 * 29)MB Brand : AcerMB Model : VA50_HC_CRNB : Intel Ivy Bridge rev 09SB : Intel HM77 rev 04GPU1 Type : Intel® HD Graphics 4000GPU2 Type : NVIDIA GeForce GT 630MDirectX Version : 11.0RAM : 8192 MB DDR3 Dual ChannelRAM Speed : 665.8 MHz (1:5) @ 9-9-9-24Slot 1 : 4096MB (10700)Slot 1 Manufacturer : Hyundai ElectronicsSlot 2 : 4096MB (14200)Slot 2 Manufacturer : Corsair Edited March 18, 2013 by Paramedic
spinager 152 Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) how many servers have you tried? how does vanilla arma 2 play? Edited March 18, 2013 by Spinager
ifeastontears 0 Posted March 18, 2013 (edited) Have played on like 5 servers and all the same story... Now running Arma 2 to check how it runs ;)Edit: Arma 2 same storyAll my other games run fine btw, It's just ArmaTried running it without Steam, and giving the process priority High, boosts my fps a bit but it is still not playable.Running it with Gamebooster on gaming desktop and shutting down explorer.exe, Arma process at high priority gives me an average of about 15 fps... SP45M 240 Posted March 18, 2013 Your video card is fine but no matter how good your card is Arma2 is very processor intensive and im afraid yours just isn't up to the task. Faster clock speed and more cores = better fps with Dayz/Arma2
