I've got a guide to pistols http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvMkRwmKHeE if you're looking for actual gameplay help. Check fire stations (grey buildings with a rectangle 4-story tower on one side) for guns, then stay as far away from big cities as much as you can. Trust no one.

Well first of all, if you are using PlayWithSix, scrap it and use DayZCommander. It is much easier to use IMO. Then all you have to do is click on a server (preferably with low ping, anything over 200 gets laggy) and you're off!
