splinter2k 23 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) AngrySpider, The Anti-Hack tools that we have available to us as Admins, work well but are not perfect. Sometimes they do give us false alerts which can result in the occasional mistaken Ban. When a player brings to my attention that they feel they were banned by mistake, I manually pour through the logs files again, to verify the integrity of the Ban. I ALWAYS try to give the benefit of the doubt to the player. If there was a mistake made, the bans are removed promptly. You can see an example of this on first post in this thread, under the section titled "Bans Removed." It's a shame that you felt the need to start off your first communication to me by calling me a "complete tool" and "Dumbfuck." Obviously you are new to my server or you would realize that I'm a very reasonable Admin/Owner who is always willing to discuss a Ban or any other concerns for that matter. I will look through the log files to see if your ban was a mistake. If a mistake was made, I'll let you decide if you want to continue playing on US 3533. However, if you do, it will be with a more civil tone and attitude than what you've demonstrated here. Peekles (DayZ) 0 Posted January 29, 2014 Hi Splinter, I really enjoyed playing on this server, but after a battle eye update I kept getting kicked as soon as I joined the server for Set variable value restriction #1 (Or #0 can't remember). I shrugged it off as a bug and I tried joining again recently and it says I've been banned for hacking. This is really confusing to me cause I haven't used any cheat programs of any sort or exploits. I would love to play on this server again. I've looked through the banned player list and could not find my player name or GUID. I hope this can be resolved, thanks a bunch! The Anti-Hack tools that we use work well, but occasionally we do get false positives. Thanks for reaching out to me, I will give you an update shortly. I removed your Ban, which will take effect at the next server reboot (11:00 a.m. EST). We enjoy having you as a player on US 3533 and apologize for this inconvenience. Peekles (DayZ) 0 Posted January 31, 2014 Hey Splinter, Thanks for the quick reply and check up. However, I'm still getting kicked for Set value variable restriction #1 :(.
