Issue first time running... Incorrect serial number?

Hey, so first time trying to run DayZ. Just bought ARMA II Combined Operations off of Steam, download the required programs and files for DayZ from the Website and try to run it. Starts up and asks me to choose a server, pick one for recruit and american. It says its updating, sure thats fine. After its done, it asks me to join another server (the one i joined before filled up). Join another one and as its loading, it says that i have the incorrect serial number given during setup. So, figure i have to run ARMA II first for the first time installations. ARMA II runs fine and installs the needed files, try running DayZ again, says i have the incorrect serial number again, but i notice at the top it has OA on it, so figure i have to run Operation Arrowhead aswell. Run the first time installs, but it says "No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgInGameUI/MPTable.shadow'." and then when i exit that window, it pops up with "Error compiling pixel shader PSSSpecularAlpha:0"...

Any and all help is appreciated.

I've tried re-installing ARMA II OA also.

Friend had that issue too. He also hadn't run either Arma 2 or OA prior. He did that AND created a Profile, which might be the key here to your issue. Go in OA and create a Player Profile, then give it another try?

Friend had that issue too. He also hadn't run either Arma 2 or OA prior. He did that AND created a Profile' date=' which might be the key here to your issue. Go in OA and create a Player Profile, then give it another try?

I cant run OA, that was the second part of my problem. Figured that i would have to have both install the first time run installs, but it doesn't run, it has those two errors.

That worked and got OA to run' date=' now to see if the CD key was written and if i can play DayZ now. Thanks! I'll post again with the results.

But now it is saying that i do not have the .bin file for item.hatchet' date=' which updated recently. Im guessing if i update the Six Launcher it will sort out?

Used the Six Updater, and now it says no bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons. D:

Everyone gets some of the CfgWeapons, tactical_goggles etc errors. Just load in and play. You're fine.
