Throwable bricks vs Melee

I complained a bit about having no weapon at the beginning and I can really see why they did it. But I think a really cool alternative would be replacing tin cans with bricks that you can throw at zombies to stun them, perhaps only with headshots. So brick to the head, stun zombie, escape.

This way you can't just take on hordes at the beginning, but you can probably escape if you accidentally aggro a couple zombies. Better than melee?

I do think you are on to something, but instead of killing a zombie, wouldn't it be more intense/exciting, if it was only knocked out, and you would have to get out of there before it wakes up?

What is your exact worry here? I dont doubt that when the apocalypse eventually happens we will see a lot of shit thrown at shit here in germany, where guns are not so abundant.
