Can an old camping tent be saved from disappearing after death?

I have a tent set up , then i died :( . If i get back to the tent and "save old camping tent" will that prevent it from disappearing?

I am not entirely sure if this is 100% correct given the recent updates and what not. My understanding is if you die after you place a tent that it will stay up for around 2 days before it despawns.

If anyone knows different, feel free to correct me. :angel:

Tent despawning from character death is not actually implemented.

However you can no longer pack it.

1 of my tents is on day 4 after death and its still there .. maybe "save old camping tent" keeps it from despawining .. hmm .... still keeping it empty just to be safe.

My tents stayed around for a week or so after I died.

To be on the safe side, I'd plant a new tent and transfer everything to the fresh one, so your gear won't unexpectedly despawn.
