just a suggestion how about a laser pointer you could use it to lure zombes away from building or onto the unsuspecting survivor/bandit and mabey you could get when you spawn and it can blind people for a few seconds so you can run away to help with spawn killers

I wouldn't have thought a zombie's eyesight would be good enough to spot a small red dot...

Flares and smoke nades seem like much more plausible ways for luring zombies away.

But honestly, where would we find a laser pointer? The batteries on most common ones run out pretty quick and those things are a pain to find even in reality.

I like the idea of a laser pointer for communicating purposes, I.e. pointing positions to other players.

I know a lot of guns have a PEQ, that has a IR laser, they might be able to switch it out to be a red laser.

The Arma2 guns PEQ don't work through, M16a4 has a PEQ-2 but it doesn't work since they didn't put it in Arma2, maybe it could be modded in though

certain guns in arma II have infrared beams (press L to activate)

when in night vision you can see the beam , not sure if they are added to DayZ however.
