Balota , busted legs and goodies

Recommended Posts

My mate and i farmed out Balota last night for about an hour with the new patch. Seemed to be spawn city. Shottie with Flashlight, MP5A5 ,M4A1 ,G17, AKM , AK74, AK74 Kobra,Coyote backpack plus ammo and the usual other gear. We did a quick run from Cherno hospital where i grabbed a stash of bloodbags before hitting Balota. We ended with about 50 odd kills a piece while waiting for enough ammo to spawn so we could begin our intended journey up North.

Got attacked near the hangars first by Zeds and i needed a blood transfusion after losing 8000 in a matter of seconds..gah! My mate gave me some sweet sweet painkillers too.Next zed attack a couple of minutes later i went down with one hit near the tower and before my mate could get a bag into me i bled out, busted legs and shaking like a freak. He covered my gear while i ran up from Kamenka with a freshy.

Grabbed my gear and then we got attacked inside one of the hangars, the zeds kept respawning in the hanger right in front of me so i bagged 5 kills in about 7 seconds. Weird. Saw one bolt past me and out through the rear hangar wall..never to be seen again. Usain Bolt. My mate went down outside to a new style hopper, one hit, busted legs. I bandaged him as he was at 3000 blood by the time i got there but just as i killed the zed he died..minus 16000 blood.

My turn to guard his gear while he ran down from Prigorodki, we did not want to lose that big backpack . Held off a few more Zeds while waiting, sometimes losing them by running out of sight sometimes not. My mate arrived with 12 or so zeds on his ass, i popped 8 from the tower and then the rest got stuck inside of the shipping crate just standing around.

A couple of minutes later when we were in one of the hangars we heard shooting near the tower so we skirted out to the vehicles on the runway and took up position to take down whoever had turned up. We have been shot waaaaay too many times trying to be friendly and initiate contact, so we decided we were not risking our gear this time.

Soon as old mate popped around the corner on his way to the hangar we let loose (sorry Theorix :D)..both of us missing and he made it into the hangar, we kept him trapped for about 30 seconds firing random shots from both of our covering points.Chat popped up, poor dude was freaking out .. DONT SHOOT, IM FRIENDLY! FUCK! I DONT WANT TO DIE! ' he bolted out and i fired a volley with the ak74 hitting all around him but not on him and he made it into the tower unscathed.

We ended up having a chat and hooked up with Theorix, told him sorry for the scare but we were sick of getting shot on sight, raided the military camp near Bolota as a group ,filling up on ammo , ending up sitting inside of the wire popping zeds before we exited for the night.

Quick observations from us re the new patch - Seems the spawn at Balota is a lot more fruitful than it used to be , especially in the small time we were there. The zeds definitely pack a lot more punch, broken bones happen more easily and you bleed out a lot quicker. We still managed to get around roughly the same as we were before the patch, we are not crawling everywhere as you can still drag and bag them in buildings rather easily. Spawning in buildings in groups is a bit of a worry though. They do seem to pick you up from a longer range now. The new animation for the hopper is damn freaky, like that freaked out chick from the ring getting out of the well. Damn.

We normally carry 2 bloodpacks each when we journey inland, from now on we will be taking 4, and trying to avoid the zeds more. Tonight we have to head to Cherno to try and get to the hospital ..should be fun :D

Honestly, that's what I call a cool story bro. Such a riveting tale, I honestly copy and pasted it to word, saved on my hard drive, backed it up on a jump drive, drove to the bank, put the jump drive in the safe deposit box, and will leave it there until my kids can understand. Then I will pick it up, put it in an old USB drive reader and relay this cool story to them and tell them, "kids, this is what a cool story should look and sound like...not like the stories your generation tells.
