pepo 1 Posted March 12, 2013 We are quite new to DayZ and run a private server since a couple of days. The difficulty settings are a bit confusing for us. We were wondering if it is possible to set the difficulty so that players can only see their own location on the map without having a GPS, but no other player's location is shown (neither enemy nor friendly) ? TheBambiAvenger 146 Posted March 12, 2013 I know that if you set your server difficulty to regular this works, but I'm not aware of any other ways.
Acix 132 Posted March 12, 2013 If players can see themselves on the map then players within a certain distance can see them as well... its just how it works... dont use this feature its not really needed as setting map waypoints is pretty easy and you can figure out where u are by doing that without actually seeing yourself on the map... that and after you play a little bit youll be able to tell where u are without a map
