Can an old camping tent be saved from disappearing after death?

I have a tent set up , then i died :( . If i get back to the tent and "save old camping tent" will that prevent it from disappearing?

I dunno, with the old version, even after death, our tents seems to stay forever (+3 weeks, never disappear)

So I have no idea with the current version but IMO I would say I'm pretty confident that tents still buggy, "in the good way" :)

Any confirmation would be welcome!

I thought as long as you went back to a tent after you died, then you could save it from despawning by simply saving it again. Can't swear to it but that's how it worked to my understanding, or least that's what I was told when I was new to the game.

I think it will still despawn within the week - just pitch a new one to be safe
