Consistently Kicked from Servers

Almost a day ago I bought Arma II and Operation Arrowhead (within the ARMA X: Anniversary Edition pack off of Steam), and up until this point I've been having trouble playing this mod.

Here's the deal: Every time I go to join a server, it locks up on the briefing menu (at least that's what I think it is) and promptly kicks me back to the server select screen with the message "You have been kicked off of the server".

I've followed every instuction I could find in order to get this game to work. Downloaded the beta patch, six updater/six launcher, etc. Re-installed BattleEye. Took advice given from other users on this very forums. Nothing.

I bought combined ops off of Steam and used the forums install guide to set it all up to version 1.7.1.1.

I have no idea what to do to fix this kicking problem. I've ALSO re-verified the game cache on AII:OA more times than I can count, but each time it repeats the same message that 1 file was missing and that it is going to be redownloaded. I get the message that the game was updated, but if I were to re-verify it again I'd get the same error. It may very well be the fact that my game is forever stuck in "reverify limbo" and I'll never truly be able to reinstall that one file. Looking on the Steam forums, it's not limited to just Arma II but multiple other games. Got no answers there anyway.

FWIW: I AM able to join 1.6.0 servers, though there's a persistant message overlay stating I'm running the 1.7.1.1 version of the mod and shouldn't playing be on a 1.6 server. It seems those are pretty much all cracked/test/debug servers anyway. I don't wanna deal with that stuff so I'm looking to see if there's anything I can do to fix this problem.

I'd be happy to give any more info needed. I'm just a bit unsure of what other information I need to provide you all for a better answer.

TL;DR: I keep getting kicked along with a "kicked off this server" message from every server I join. All files are (to my knowledge) up to date. Can't find a fix that helps.
