oktyabr 53 Posted April 25, 2012 From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThe Molotov cocktail, also known as the petrol bomb, gasoline bomb, Molotov bomb, fire bottle, fire bomb, or simply Molotov, is a generic name used for a variety of improvised incendiary weapons. Due to the relative ease of production, they are frequently used by non-professionally equipped fighters and others who cannot afford, manufacture, or obtain hand grenades. They are primarily intended to set targets ablaze rather than instantly destroy them.A Molotov cocktail is a breakable glass bottle containing a flammable substance such as gasoline or a napalm-like mixture, with some motor oil added, and usually a source of ignition such as a burning cloth wick held in place by the bottle's stopper. The wick is usually soaked in alcohol or kerosene, rather than gasoline. In action, the wick is lit and the bottle hurled at a target such as a vehicle or fortification. When the bottle smashes on impact, the ensuing cloud of petrol droplets and vapour ignites, causing an immediate fireball followed by a raging fire as the remainder of the fuel is consumed. Not sure if they are possible with this engine or not. I'm thinking less as a weapon and more as a way to temporarily create a wall of fire between you and whatever you don't want next to you.
lithiumfox.av@gmail.com 9 Posted April 25, 2012 The problem is there are actually few recorded incident's of cocktails actually being used, and from what i'm reading it only effects people who would be in like... normal clothes. Plus i would imagine they'd be pretty unstable, and highly inconsistent with each throw in real life. Although allowing for their use would be fine with me. I think you should have to "craft" them tho. Might explain all the jack daniel bottles.

Zombies might be scared off and any players deciding to cross it would suffer damage too.Brilliant tie-in with the empty whiskey bottles! I guess I sort of assumed they had a purpose that I just hadn't discovered yet. Maybe empty tin cans could be used to fashion DIY oil lamps?
lithiumfox.av@gmail.com 9 Posted April 25, 2012 ...O-O that you can fashion a hook on your backpack and then have light your way, or carry it yourself! Perfect! :D
zrix 0 Posted April 25, 2012 Don't quote me on this, but I vaguely recall rocket or another dev stating that the empty bottles ingame are the first stages for molotovs, planned for a later version.
