cwl1997 0 Posted March 10, 2013 So I recently decided to buy the ARMA II Complete Collection and download the DayZ (from steam, and not from the official DayZ mod website at first) I did everything it told me to do (start up ARMA II and OA at first) but when I joined a game, I could not as it said I did not have the version required. I then downloaded it off this website and, after numerous you tube videos, managed to download it. But to my dismay, the error still occurred. Also, when I try to join one of the games its says 'Bad version' and then something else which I cannot remember off the top of my head right now. So, should I use the steam version or the version off this website and how can I sort this problem. Thanks and all help is appreciated.
TacticalN29 89 Posted March 10, 2013 Honestly, I would say just use DayZ Commander or Playwithsix. I've heard that people have quite a few problems with the Steam version. DayZ Commander will download the latest versions and automatically apply them with one click, plus there's a server browser in it. http://www.dayzcommander.com/
Acix 132 Posted March 10, 2013 DayZ commander is gonna be the easiest way for you to get everything installed and running properly... manual install is always an option as well... there are some good videos on setting up and manually patching and installing on youtube. Just search for DayZ mod installation
