Coyote (DayZ) 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Since this seems to be a big topic, would it be possible to not allow people to abort by setting them as "In Combat" when they aggro zombies. This would allow you to disable the ability to log out while in combat, thus taking care of that issue. I'm not sure if it would even be possible, but I thought about it when I tried to log out in WoW and something aggrod to me as I was doing it, giving me a message telling me I can't log out in combat. Igor (DayZ) 96 Posted June 18, 2012 This should be in the bugs section.
deepfried 95 Posted June 18, 2012 THe problem is: what if you're "in combat" and your connection drops... guaranteed death.
CosmicOsmo 1 Posted June 18, 2012 THe problem is: what if you're "in combat" and your connection drops... guaranteed death.Life's tough. There's absolutely no way to make it safe to disconnect without people abusing it. We have to live with the fact that a poor internet connection results in a poor MMO experience. racecar 0 Posted June 19, 2012 Logging out to avoid zombies is such a minor problem that (in my opinon) it is basically a non-issue compared to logouts in PvP.It's one of those situations where who really cares if someone logs out to avoid death by zombies? It has no effect on other players and you will never know if someone else is doing it.
el mariachi 10 Posted June 19, 2012 I think some of the goofy respawn rates and zombie distances/aggro might fix some of that stuff.
