DISABLE GLOBAL CHAT!?!?!!?!?

Recommended Posts

I have done EVERYTHING. I have the latest mission file(according to my host, and I have to take his word because he wont give me my instance ID to update it.)

I FORCE the latest beta patch on the server.

I uploaded the beta folder from my install to my server.

WHAT THE HELL ELSE MUST I DO!?!?!

To achieve.... what exactly? Instead of using so much energy on explaining what you have done, it'd help if you'd actually mention what the hell you're trying to achieve.

If the server has the latest mission file, and players are joining with beta patch, they will not be able to access the global channel. If some player who joined with beta patch is still able to use the global channel, it means you do not have the latest mission file running.

Are you sure you are actually running the server with the beta files? Remember to change the required beta version to the new one for your players.

You say you uploaded the beta folder to your server. Does that mean you have access to the dayz files on your server? If so, you can find your server instance number by looking in the MPMissions file. Your mission file will have the number in its name (dayz_xxx.Chernarus.pbo , where xxx is your instanced number).

If you can find your number, you can download a new mission file to confirm you have the latest.

When you say global chat, are you talking specifically about the Global channel, or all the global channels, including side chat?

If all the channels are still available, then it's probably an out-of-date mission file.

If it's just the Global channel... then... idk.

*Edit*

Also make sure your server launch parameters are set to launch the beta, not just normal arma. Probably not the issue, but it doesnt hurt to double check.
