GjermundUrr 0 Posted March 9, 2013 Hello :)i've been playing dayz for a while now and i get these fps drops all the time. my pc is not the best but it can run many games pretty smooth. When i play I have maby 26-35 FPS and it is running smoothly... but all the sudden my fps drops to 6-17 FPS...and after 30 seconds, its back to normal... the strange thing is that the game is running smoothly even in towns. then the FPS Drop comes, and after 30 sec it's llike nothing happend and the game is running nice again.(it happens quite often though)Can anyone please post some good settings or tips that i can try out for my pc? :)i have Intel® Core™ i7-3610QM CPU @ 2,30GHz 2.30 GHz and 6 GB RAM with Windows 64-bit Ultimatejust ask if you want to know anything more:)
INickeragua 121 Posted March 9, 2013 I've heard going into the task manager and setting ArmA 2 OA process priority to above normal helps in some cases. Other then that just mess around with your video settings and see what is best. Also posting your GPU might help people give you some recommended video settings. :)

Hockeyguy 107 Posted March 12, 2013 I am thinking this has something to do with your processor, for DayZ to run smoothly you need at least a processor that is running at 3.0 GHz. This is just something that I think might be causing the problem.
