I have played the game since sunday night and played it basically non-stop and basically, i have yet to find anything useful in the game. i only tend to find old cans and thats it... when i had the 1.7.1 version installed i played a game and found ammo and mags, but no guns, but now i cant even find that stuff.... is it a glitch? am i searching in the wrong place? whats up?

Not sure where you're actually looking, so difficult to say if you're in the wrong place, but there's a few good maps around that highlight item spawn points, so might be worth checking them to see if you're looking in good spots.

I know there were a couple of issues with certain items not spawning, which I think Rocket has fixed in the last patch or so - that could also be the problem.

That said, I get unlucky sometimes and find nothing but useless stuff like empty tins of food/soda, so maybe you're just having a bad run. Good luck! :)

There is currently a known loot spawning bug. Should be fixed in the next update or Hotfix.

Yeah that's a bug.

I was in Chern the other night and literally every single spawn was tin cans and whiskey bottles. Every.Single.Spawn.

Apparently food and water doesn't drop very often (or not at all I'm not sure - I have butchered meat and refillable water canteens atm) in the latest patch.

You're searching in the right place for loot to spawn, if you want to find things like weapons then look out for airfields, fire stations, barns, grocery stores, offices and the odd house has pistols.

Until you get a bearing of the map and which buildings are where I imagine it's a tad overwhelming. It was for me and that was when you used to start with a gun!

well, i found a friendly guy who saved me right before death and led me to a small airfield, he said all the loot was gone, but i did find a chem light and some ammo, so i guess im just looking in the wrong places! thanks for the maps and all the help, so far i have not met an unfriendly face in this game.... (so far... famous last words)
