Can't spawn?

Hey all,

So I downloaded ARMA 2 complete collection, only for the DayZ mod, and so far I haven't been able to play once!

I'll join a server to spawn as a bird (spawned as a bird over 10 times) or I'll be met with a black screen and can't do jack s***. I'm really annoyed I can't play DayZ, please can someone point me in the right direction to get this resolved.

Also, my PC runs all the requirements fine, so not a computer fault.

have u ran both arma II and operation arrowhead before installing dayz files? if not do that and also use dayz commander it will make getting into the game and updates much easier http://www.dayzcommander.com/

Thanks for the quick response, yes, I did run both games before DayZ.

Okay, I've heard about this dayz commander, but didn't think much of it.

Also, there are a couple of reasons why people end up as birds, and I think one of them said it can be due to a weak net connection. I remember another mod telling me about this recently but I can't recall who it was. I'll let you know if I find out more.

PS Don't forget you need to update to the latest versions of the arma patch and dayz mod. :thumbsup:
