Some PDW clarity please?

Recommended Posts

Hello Guys 'n Gals;

Yesterday I was raiding the Northwest Airfield, after dark and before the server restart. I found a PDW and had two M9 Mags with me, just in case I found a side arm. As I have been lead to believe is that the PDW is unheard by zombies, and for the most part that was true. I was making my way out. I had on last hanger to hit and exfil to the woods and log until the server restarted. I was making my way between the last two hangers on the south end of the airfield and I literally tripped of a zombie that phased through the wall. So I shot it so it'd leave me alone (this is with the PDW same mags I have been using in crowds areas to clear my exit of barracks or buildings with no aggro) I aggro the entire airfield and get one hitted and killed.

Not that I am complaining or anything I am just curious if this was a bug (mistaken sound file) or am I completely wrong about the PDW?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thank you in advance

~Mossy

Well from what I have heard, I don't remember where is that it made noise but the Zombies didn't register it, but this was a couple of patches ago.

The PDW does make some noise but it is quite quiet so usually unheard by zeds not in the surrounding area

Zombie won't aggro if you have M9 SD mags or MP5 SD mags loaded into it. All other mags do create a sound that can be registered by zeds from about 50m. I would assume you just got lucky before and the last time just caused a chain reaction. That our you stepped on the tarmac too quickly.

I was in the grass, Alright I guess that makes sense, I had normal M9 mags, but it was really dark, that game also seems to be bugging out too, I had lost two backpacks, a DMR with 4 mags, and then an M14 AIM with 6 mags

Lost as in when you died or other reasons? If you try to put something in your bag but don't have room for it, the game with simply delete it. If you're switching weapons, move your bag weapon into your main inventory, the game will then move your active weapon into your bag with minimal problems.
