Yeah I was using it for like finding how to get to places from where I am. Is the loot like accurate to Origins?

Somewhat close regarding loot. You'll get the general idea of where to go to get what. I use it when playing Origins and it's helpful enough.

It won't do much. Origins uses a redesigned Taviana map with different loot spawns

Yeah but the locations like towns and cities are accurate... you know besides Salvation

There are lots of subtle differences, there is a lot more military loot on the Tavi map than there is on the Origins, for instance the big electric plant (looks nuclear with the big cooling stacks) spawns nothing in Origins but that map says it should have industrial and military. I've noticed a few differences in individual buildings in towns too... but it is a good reference map,... its quite good because it makes you explore a bit lol
