Problem with a custom loading screen

Recommended Posts

I followed the instructions here: http://sponsored.dayz.st/wiki/index.php?title=Custom_Load_Screen

I am running Lingor 1.3. I created a custom loading screen in .jpg format. I downloaded the default .pbo file from the control panel. I extracted it and added this line to the description.ext:

loadScreen = "serverloading.jpg";

I also noted that this line was present so I commented it out:

loadScreen = "\z\addons\dayz_code\gui\dayz_logo_ca.paa";

When I connect to my server, I am still getting the default lingor loading screen. When I get to the part where you download the mission file, it's definately downloading my serverloading.jpg because the mission file is over 700kb (My .jpg is 685kb by itself). When I get to the spawn part, I see a different place on the map than I am currently at, and the screen is just frozen, unable to see a player model or do anything.

If I revert to the default pbo, all is fine.

Is there something about Lingor 1.3 that prevents custom loading screens?

This is a bit of my fragment from description.ext

#include "gcam\gcam_component.hpp"

respawn = "BASE";

respawndelay = 5;

onLoadMission= "DayZ Taviana";

OnLoadIntro = "Welcome to Taviana";

OnLoadIntroTime = False;

OnLoadMissionTime = False;

disabledAI = true;

disableChannels[]={0,2,6};

enableItemsDropping = 0;

onPauseScript = "onpause.sqf";

loadScreen = "pictures\loadscreen.jpg";

class Header

{

I have a folder called ''pictures'' inside mission.pbo, place your loadingscreen in pictures.

i dont know if you have the same as me, but you should try.

Turns out if I read further down in the wiki, for some reason the format for the line with the image name was changed: loadScreen = "pictures\loadscreen.jpg"; is the proper format now.
