PC has the specs, 20fps on low :/

Recommended Posts

Hello,

So I just bought dayz and a new graphics card, my pc specs are:

Q6600 Quad Core @ 2.4ghz

4GB DDR2

Msi HD7850 2048MB

Looking through threads on here this pc should be able to play it, yet I get 20-25fps on LOW SETTINGs and 1024x768 resolution

I've tried these commands but didn't do anything

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

wholey cpu bottleneck

you basically need a morden quad core for this q6600 oc will do but is old now

oc it to 3 ghz or 3.2 and you should alot of difference

the bottlenecking you will be getting with current set up will be quite bad due to your cpu speed compaed to your gpu

If you do upgrade be sure to get something that can play DayZ Standalone fine rather the just passing the DayZ mod req.

I have a Q8400, 4gb DDR2, and a GTS 450 and I run great. But I'm running a mild overclock to 2.8ghz. I suggest you do the same. You really need to push that CPU to at least 2.7ghz and you'll get some better frame rates. If you do overclock the CPU, make sure to get a better cooler or your temps will be too high.

What kind of frames are you getting compared to not overclocking it?
