Hive Problem

I'm fairly new to DayZ and I currently launch it using DayZ commander, I thought my character would be accessible on all servers as I had previously played about 6 months ago when private hives didn't exist, but anyway, upon finding out that the server I usually played on was down and then reading up on private hives I decided I'd play on official servers, but when I filter to official DayZ servers I only get one server.

Is this an issue on my end? Is the hive no longer active? Please explain as I'd like to be able to play on a wider variety of servers in case there is a server crash or something similar.

Make sure you are up to date with the most recent patch. If you are on the most recent patch, downgrade to the previous, as servers have to transfer over to the patch and that takes awhile.

Ah good point, thanks. I've just changed the filters to search for outdated versions, thing is there are still only 7. I suppose that's to be expected till it goes standalone.

there's definitely more than 7.. try clearing all filter options (at the bottom of the filters) and then use "DayZ" option for mod and "Hide unofficial" to hide private hives.. the second option does not always work and you will still see some private hive servers but you should be able to tell which is what from the server name

Tried it, I get 7 DayZ servers, then If I select 'Any Mod' I get an extra 3 servers for DayZ+.

Can someone else who is using Commander confirm that these are the only official servers available. I'd like to know if its an issue on my end or not. Thanks.

Problem solved!! I noticed my version of DayZ commander was outdated, after updating I'm getting tonnes of servers appearing in the server list.
