All inclusive HOW TO install of DayZ mod and Arma Beta

**STEP 1**

Download and run the .exe

:sometimes windows says that it did not install correctly. ignore this. as long as the beta installer says it was sucessful, ignore this error:

**STEP 2**

and click the link "Download DayZ updater" or just use this one below...

**STEP 3**

Now open the dayz updater and run it. "Force update" is usually the best as "check for updates" occasionally throws an error.

**STEP 4**

Then after it says success check the box that says "Launch Beta"

Then click play.

Sometimes the DayZ updater will not work. It tell you if it has worked. When it doesnt work you have 2 options.

1)Retry. Perhaps there was an issue with the file download or the extraction. Be sure to use FORCE UPDATE, as CHECK FOR UPDATES will sometimes also cause an error

2)Wait. Sometimes the server is overloaded and downloads move at a snails pace or not at all. This is usually the case within the first few hours of a new release. Be patient.
