You are running an incorrect version of DAYZ_CODE

Recommended Posts

Something went wrong! disconnect and try again!

You are running an incorrect version of DAYZ_CODE, please download this file from dayzmod.com/downloads (You are running version 1.7.6-Finalising and the server is running 1.7.6.1)

This happens every time I try to join an official server and it's getting seriously annoying. I am using DayZ Commander and have updated and installed both DayZ and Arma multiple times. I have deleted all the DayZ files also and tried to re install them.

Help please,

Thanks

I have the same problem as OP. DayZ struggles so hard with user friendly updates... Why can't they just make an official updater?

I too have uninstalled and reinstalled, copied the latest patch files into the dayz folder and no luck. The DayZ change log in my steam dayz folder is for 1.7.6.1 as of 26 Feb, but I cannot join any servers because it says I am 1.7.6-FINALISING.

Frustrating to say the least, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution that worked for me:

I had the following error: You are running an incorrect version of DAYZ_CODE, please download this file from dayzmod.com/downloads (You are running version 1.7.6.1 and the server is running 1.7.6-Finalising)

Solved the problem at least for now by doing the following:

1- Installed Arma 2: Dayz mod using steam.

2-uninstalled Arma 2 using windows control panel

3-uninstalled Arma 2:operation arrowhead windows control panel

4- uninstalled daymod windows control panel

5- downloaded installed and run Arma 2 using steam

6- downloaded installed and run Arma 2:operation arrowhead using steam

7- downloaded installed Arma 2: Dayz mod using steam

8- right click on Arma 2: Dayz mod and select properties

9- Select Betas tab

10- select the apropriate server version, in case of the extact error I mentioned (v1.7.6-), then close this window

11- right click on Arma 2: Dayz mod, and select Play with beta patch.

12- pick you server and enoy!

I hope it works out for you guys, these are the exact steps I took to fix my issue but I have a pretty good hunch that if you do step 1, 8,9,10,11,12 should be enough to fix the issue but in my case the betas tab was not showing the version at first. After all the steps it works well.

Sorry for any misspels or mistakes I made, english is not my first language.

Cheers,

Biohazardvc
