Whitelisting a server.

Recommended Posts

My friend just purchased a DayZ server and we are trying to figure out how to white list it. I watched a video and download the program from the video but so far we are not having any luck with this. If anyone can reply and let me know what to do I would really appreciate it.

Here is what we tried.

Thanks in advance.\

EDIT: We have it working but the program in the video has to be running for it to work, is there any way of whitelisting the server where the program doesn't have to be running because it won't be whitelisted when he turns off his pc.

Firstly ... who is your server hoster? Most of the times the server hosting company has specific steps that need to be followed in order to enable white listing on your server. On my server, I have a "server.xml" file that is read by BattleEye when it starts up and I put the settings in there ... but the location of that file is (from what I can tell) specific to the hosting company and the server control software they use.

My advice to you ... is log a help desk ticket with your service provider ... they will be able to help you much quicker then a tutorial can. I tried to enable white listing myself and got no way fast ... logged a help desk ticket and I was up and running 20 minutes later.

The server is hosted through HFBservers. The program in the video I posted works but it has to be running at all times.

Ill see about sending in a support ticket, thanks for your reply.
