"Lost" Alice

People keep thinking I'm saying "Daisy"

Recommended Posts

This has happened to me in 3 different conversations I swear, and I don't know how to get around it without sounding like some OCD spelling nazi.

Haven't you heard? You can do both now.

Carry around a piece of paper in your pocket with "DayZ" written on it.

The way I solve this problem: Instead of flowing my speech normally like I would, I create a short pause between Day and Z, almost as if to say Day-Z.

Okay I hope this isn't a topic hijack but people should start listing how they say it, and where they are from. Maybe there is a correlation between regional dialects and the pronunciation of the word?

DayZed: Scotland - This is how all my friends say it too, unless they are singing,"I'll have to shoot you, cos this is day zee"

I call it Day Zed now, because as other members have stated, the zombies are Zeds, it just seems to make more sense.
